Core aeration and overseeding to break up compacted North Texas clay, relieve thatch buildup, and thicken thin, patchy turf.
Blackland Prairie clay compacts hard, and a compacted lawn can’t take in water, air, or nutrients the way it needs to — no matter how good your fertilization program is. Core aeration pulls small plugs of soil out of the lawn to relieve that compaction and break up thatch buildup, opening the door for roots, water, and fertilizer to actually reach where they’re needed.
Overseeding follows the same logic for thin or patchy turf: rather than waiting for grass to slowly fill in on its own, we introduce seed directly into the aerated holes where it has the best chance of taking root and establishing.
We check soil compaction, thatch depth, and thin or bare areas to plan the service.
Aeration is timed to your grass type — typically late spring for warm-season lawns.
We pull soil plugs across the lawn to relieve compaction and open the turf canopy.
Seed is applied where needed, with watering guidance to support germination and establishment.
